Nissan Altimas are known for their low production numbers, but the carmaker’s Altima Transmission fluid leak could be a sign that the new vehicle could be leaking.
According to Nissan’s transmission specialist Eddy DeGiorgio, the company is investigating the possibility that the transmission fluid has leaked and is unable to repair the leak.
In order to repair a leak, the oil is forced out of the fluid and placed into a bucket, where it can be drained and the fluid cleaned.
But the oil can’t be removed, as it would cause the fluid to expand and cause further damage.
The Altima’s transmission fluid is already in the bucket, so we don’t expect any further leaks to occur.
This is only a theory, so please let us know if you have any further information.
The Altimax is not the first car in the brand to have a transmission fluid problem, but it’s the first one we’ve seen with a leak of this nature.
The Altilas transmission fluid had a leak in the early stages of production.
In March 2018, Nissan announced that it had discovered the leak, and it was rectified in August 2018.
However, Nissan has yet to disclose any more information about the repair, and we won’t be able to comment until Nissan releases a statement.
